General

Fulfilling Life is located in Edwardsville, Illinois. However, we serve patients in all of Illinois and Missouri via in office and telemedicine appointments.

Fulfilling Life does not accept insurance yet. We do accept FSA/HSA funds and you can be provided with a superbill to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. The Affordable Care Act allows most insurance plans to cover up to six lactation consultations, however we do not guarantee reimbursement. Please contact your insurance prior to your visit if you have questions or concerns regarding their willingness to reimburse.

Click the “Let’s Get Started” button on the top of the page that will take you to our booking site. Scroll to your needed appointment type and select a time. You will be sent additional forms to fill out as well as a payment link to confirm your appointment.

Payment is due to confirm your appointment. You will be emailed a payment link to input your payment method of choice.


Weight Loss

Fulfilling Life is in network with Cigna & Tricare- those insurance plans can be billed. We are in the process of onboarding with select other plans. There are portions of our program not covered by insurance and are out of pocket costs. Our practice model focuses on accessible and personalized care. It allows us to spend more time focusing on the needs of our patients and allows us to practice more individualized and interactive care.

We are able to send your lab orders and medications to your preferred local labs and pharmacies which will bill through you insurance plan as the plan allows. Common labs used are LabCorp and Quest. Common pharmacies include Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and Express Scripts. Any insurance coverage questions should be directed to your insurance carrier.

Each persons plan is tailored to their health, lifestyle, starting weight, and abilities. We can not guarantee an exact amount of weight loss, but our patients generally lose 1/2 lb- 4lbs a week.

We tell all of our patients weight loss is a journey and we are with you on the ride. If you are having struggles and need adaptations to your plan we work with your to find the regimen that leads to success. The beauty of the Direct Specialty Care model is that we are not limited to the constraints of typical offices and we pride ourselves on staying connected to our patients, supporting them, and guiding them to successful, sustainable weight loss.

You may cancel your membership at anytime and the next billing cycle will be cancelled. Monthly memberships will not be prorated or refunded.

There are some aspects of the weight loss program you can participate in, however if you are interested in medications to assist in weight loss you can not be nursing, pumping, pregnant, or trying to conceive.


Lactation


Yes! We have a prenatal breastfeeding course we recommend for parents to take near the end of the third trimester. Learning what you will need, what to expect, and common early issues helps parents successfully navigate the early stages of breastfeeding. Knowing what to expect is definitely a key to a more successful journey!

Yes! We have courses for lactating parents who need help learning how to prepare for going back to work or being away from their baby and need to successfully navigate pumping and storing breastmilk!

If you are experiencing painful latch, irritate/cracking/bleeding nipples, are having milk transfer concerns, difficulty expressing with a pump, or pain with pumping, or have any other concerns about nursing and pumping you should reach out to a lactation specialist.
